Final Fantasy VII Latest Updates
The latest batch of Final Fantasy 7 Remake screenshots was accompanied by character renders singling out the game's stunning character models.
The Final Fantasy series, outside of MMOs, hasn't been visiting the PC space much. There's the occasional HD-remake that strikes out on desktops but major modern instalments have all stuck to console.
That could very likely change, according to Final Fantasy producer Yoshinori Kitase. Final Fantasy XIII was built on PC but then later ported, as Square was 'unsure of PC'.
Square Enix has finally released Final Fantasy VII on Steam, which is identical to their Square Enix Store version which hit PC last year. Achievements, cloud saving and a character booster let you edit stats.
What's that? Cheating!? The booster is to let you "enjoy your adventure" without stressing over the little things apparently. The cloud saves can be a little tricky when switching between on and offline.
Think you are a dedicated Final Fantasy
nerd fan? Well one Jamie Colliver has painstakingly surrendered six month's worth of his free time to reimagine Final Fantasy VII in LittleBigPlanet 2.
His work spans 20 levels of LBP2 using the officially released FFVII costumes for the sackboys. Colliver has aired his work through six YouTube clips containing two hours of gameplay.
UPDATE: Square Enix has just released for the PC, which can be downloaded from Square's Store for £7.99.
Ratings board PEGI has the release date for Square Enix's Final Fantasy VII on PC marked for today, accompanied by an age rating of 12. The PC release is exclusive to the Square Enix Store.
