17 Bit Studios has announced that the Steam version of their tactical strategy game Skulls of the Shogun, regarded as one of the best console strat games ever released, will be arriving on Monday, the 29th July. The Steam version will have extra content as the "Bone-A-Fied" edition.

Microsoft to publish Skulls of the Shogun

After it's exhibition at E3 2011 where it earned critical raves, Skulls of the Shogun has been signed by Microsoft for release on Xbox Live Arcade. The retro strategy title is developed by Haunted Temple Studios, formed from the Electronic Arts LA employees laid off after Command & Conquer 4 was released.

Four former EA LA veterans have left their cosy digs and struck out into the world, forming their own independent Haunted Temple Studios. Together they've got 34 years experience in the industry, and they have their first title. It's called 'Skulls of the Shogun' and it's for PC and XBLA.
