Agent 64: Spies Never Die, the Goldeneye-inspired first-person shooter from solo developer Replicant D6, has officially locked in its release date to August 11, 2026, when it will finally make its PC debut.
Channeling the retro-stylings of the N64 era through both its gameplay and its aesthetic, the FPS follows secret agent John Walter as he works to foil the plans of his arch-nemesis, Dominic Pulp, and save the world in the process.
Agent 64: Spies Never Die Delivers N64-Era Action This August
Agent 64: Spies Never Die story campaign spans 14 missions, being playable both solo and in co-op, on one of three difficulty levels.
From engaging in over-the-top shootouts that test his reflexes both up close and at a distance to freeing civilian hostages, using disguises to sneak past hitmen, and stealing secret plans, John’s mission sees him tapping into the entire secret agent skillset.
His available arsenal ranges from conventional firearms like machine guns and remote mines to more futuristic weaponry such as plasma rifles. Furthermore, completing “high-tension challenges” unlocks new maps and skins.
Aside from its story campaign, Agent 64: Spies Never Die also features multiplayer modes, including local four-player splitscreen deathmatch and an online counterpart that supports up to eight players.
In addition, we can also expect a king-of-the-hill-style Zone mode and Briefcase mode, during which “secret agents fight to see who can hold classified documents the longest. “
Adding to this, custom lobbies let us create our own experiences using “70+ nostalgic cheats and gritty modifiers like Big Heads, Melee Disarms, slow bullet speeds, and random weapon changes in Paradox Mode.”
Agent 64: Spies Never Die’s release date is slated to occur on August 11, 2026, when it arrives on PC via Steam. A console version is also in the works and set to launch at a later point in time.
