A FF16 demo release date would also be great news for players who might not be fans of the series or skeptical about the latest entry's more action-focused style of combat. Although a small chunk isn't enough to delve into its deeper systems, it nonetheless offers a glimpse at how the game plays, sounds, looks, and runs.
FFXVI Demo Release Date
Thankfully, a Final Fantasy XVI demo has now been confirmed and is being worked on. In an interview with 4Gamer (via SiliconEra), Producer Naoki Yoshida noted that it should become available around two weeks prior to the game's full launch.
- FFXVI demo release date: The week of June 5, 2023 (PS5); Unknown (other platforms)
Given how FF16's PS5 version launches on June 22, the demo should be going live at some point during or around the week of June 5.
During the same interview, Yoshida also noted that the Final Fantasy XVI demo will cover two hours from the early part of the game, so it should act as a perfect introduction to the medieval world of Valisthea and its characters.
Plans can, however, still change, but with a bit of luck, PS5 players will get their first sample of the title in early June.
As far as other platforms are concerned, there's no word on when they might see a FF16 demo. The title is a time-limited PS5 exclusive and Square Enix has been tight-lipped about any other versions until now.
If you're curious what that means for a potential PC and Steam release date, we've got you covered.
