Todd Hollenshead, CEO of id Software, has confirmed the screenplay for the upcoming movie is underway. It was delayed from the writers’ strike fiasco a while back now.
He said he hasn’t seen any of it yet and that Roger Avary, an Academy Award winner, had a previous commitment ”that was in line” to finish up first.
”With the writer’s strike it took so long to get underway and Roger Avary, the writer, had a commitment that was in line before working the Wolfenstein stuff, but I’ve recently been in contact with Roger and he’s actually working on the script right now,” said Hollenshead, speaking to Eurogamer.
”I think that from a progress standpoint it’s probably gone a little bit slower than what we would have expected - you can’t control these strikes and so on.”
A Wolfenstein film… a good or bad thing?
