EA told the audience at the Dice Summit that the company “blew it” with the post acquisition of companies like Bullfrog, Westwood studios and Origin Systems.
EA CEO John Riccitiello said: “To a degree I was involved in these things, so I can say I blew it.”
But Riccitiello did say that EA Canada and Maxis are good examples of EA doing the right thing by preserving company culture when acquired.
EA recently purchased Bioware/Pandemic and hope that these companies will turn out the same as EA Canada and Maxis, “It seems to be working, I think we are on a good track.” said Riccitiello.
Bullfrog are surely missed by the Staff at Strategy Informer, we really wanted to see a Dungeon Keeper 3 and Theme Hospital 2 but will they ever return?
