CVG is announcing that the upcoming PlayStation 3 game Wipeout HD will be priced in the UK at £11.99, bargain. Release information for other markets including the United States has not yet been announced, although it is expected soon. The game is currently expected to release late September 2008 and will be available via the PlayStation Network.
Fans were disappointed not to see the futuristic racing game at E3 08, but head of Sony Computer Entertainment Europe, David Reeves, told Eurogamer at the time that the game would be delayed due to a “specific technical problem”. Shortly after that CVG posted an article claiming that the game is failing “epilepsy tests”. Now with this pricing announcement it seems hopeful that whatever the delay was caused by is now resolved.
An official release date is likely to be announced next week, so stay tuned.
