Microsoft’s karaoke game Lips won’t be sharing its peripheral with the class, and it’s not something they could fix either. Wireless = bad for Rock Band/Guitar Hero.
Inis’ Keiichi Yano, creator of Lips, revealed that it would be ”relatively easy” for Harmonix or Neversoft to cook up a patch to get them compatible though.
”That’s a great idea!” laughed Yano, he was responding to MTV Multiplayer’s musing on getting the ‘accelerometer-enhanced’ mics to work with Rock Band and Guitar Hero.
”I hope so. It’s not something we can do,” refering it to be a software and not hardware issue. ”I mean, I hope so for ‘Rock Band,’ ‘Guitar Hero.’ It won’t work out of the box but it’s relatively easy to kind of get it going.”
Lips is being exclusively released on Xbox 360 this November 21st.
