Yes the day has finally arrived when Rockstar Games latest and indeed most ambitious creation to date is truckin’ its way to the retailers.
”Trucks are rolling next week and there will be a lot of them,” to quote Take-Two’s Strauss Zelnick. Pre-registration of Rockstar’s Social Club is finally open too.
Unless the World suddenly announces it’s to spin off its axis sometime next week as well gamers worldwide can finally breathe a sigh of relief that Grand Theft Auto IV will be making this release date on schedule. April 29th 2008.
The Social Club website was supposed to be open on the 14th but was hit with a delay till the 17th, the site is a community stat tracking matrix of ‘cool’ and ‘l33t’. It won’t just be serving Grand Theft Auto but also games like Midnight Club: Los Angeles and presumably other future titles too if it proves a hit with the fans.
Let nothing stand in the way of GTAIV’s bid for global sales conquest on Xbox360 and PS3 - with hopefully a PC release just around the corner.
