With such a successful response at the GDC Microsoft will not be terminating the XNA trial demos but they will still carry an expiration date of March the 9th. Seven downloadable demos of games put together by amateur developers using Microsoft’s own homebrew concoction, XNA, are available through Xbox LIVE.
The master plan is to have XNA created games released through the Xbox LIVE marketplace starting this autumn. This deadline extension ends tomorrow the 26th at midnight PST.
In order to get a hold of the game trials you must first download the XNA launcher, which can be found within the marketplace in the Game Store, scroll down to “XNA Creators Club”. Once the ‘plug-in’ is installed go to your Game Library where you should be able to scroll to the right onto “XNA Creators Club” and press Y to begin downloading.
The games available are The Dishwasher: Dead Samurai, JellyCar, Little Gamers, Proximity HD, Rocketball, TriLinea and Culture.
