The interview ranges over a number of topics but Eggleston emphasized his opinion that video games lack a “strong narrative story” and that he would like to see improvements in computing power be used to increase the “complexity of story and alternate ways for the player to involve themselves in the lives of the players in the story” rather than to improve the graphical imagery.
Ralph Eggleston is an award winning art director including winning an Oscar award for Directing the 2000 short Pixar film “For the Birds”. He has worked on a number of well know animated films in various capacities and is currently still with Pixar as a Production Designer
