During a press conference in Paris this morning, Electronic Arts have revealed a special Collector’s Edition for the upcoming Warhammer Online: Age of Reckoning MMORPG. The pack will include miniature models of warboss Grumlock and shaman Gazbag.
A 128-paged hardback novel, a 224-paged art book and in-game content bonuses too, pre-ordering nets even more goodies.
It can be said that EA knows how to plan a Collector’s Edition and its limited to 55,000 copies, if you plan to grab one then pre-orders start at 3pm.
Pre-ordering online and in the shop will get gamers exclusive in-game PvE items, the web gets Guardians’ Lolite Band while the retailers get Sentinel’s Amber Band. Either way you apparently get access to Rittenbach’s Portable Camp which lets you heal between battles.
There are 12 bonus quests and 12 additional character head models to customise your player character with. Also the Librams of Insight is a power-up you can use three times and will activate a 10% XP bonus for an hour at a time.
The art book has the usual “making of” and concept drawings you’d expect with the European version getting an extra piece of swag - a mouse mat. The novel tells the prelude to the armies in the game and is illustrated by a number of artists.
So exactly how much will ‘Warhammer Online: Age of Reckoning Collector’s Edition’ set a gamer back? There’s no UK price tag yet but mainland Europe will be parting with 79.90 EUROS to get their hands on it. Could you love online WAR that much?
