According to one bloggers Comic-Con experience, a rep from EA let slip that the publishing giant is looking into varying PC builds to meet the demands of today’s games.
Apparently their first machine will be in time for Crytek’s Crysis Warhead and will cost around $600 to $800 - if you believe the blog. Truthful whispers or wild imaginings?
The blogger posts that, while at Comic-Con,”an EA rep mentioned that the company plans to market pre-built PCs in conjunction with the release of Crytek’s upcoming PC-exclusive shooter Crysis Warhead.”
They went on to say that ”the rigs will come in various configurations, which will correspond to Crysis Warhead’s levels of graphical detail, with a likely price range being $600-$800”.
If EA were to invest in such a market then it’s likely they would team up with an existing supplier, like Dell, instead of trying to go it alone in one of the most competitive markets out there.
I’ll take my pinch of salt now please.
