According to sources, EA has had Starbreeze Studios working on a new Syndicate game since August of 2007 and it’s heading for Xbox 360, PS3 and PC.
It’s codename has been ‘Project Redlime’ with rumours of its existence surfacing as far back as February last year. Starbreeze is already working on EA’s new Jason Bourne game.
”Starbreeze Studios is working with Electronic Arts on a new title in the Syndicate series,” reports GamesIndustry.biz.
The original Syndicate was created by Peter Molyneux and Bullfrog Productions back in the early nineties. Molyneux has said he would love to bring the property back but it’s fate rests with EA who bought out the Bullfrog developer.
Starbreeze is no teen punk, they’ve developed games like The Chronicles of Riddick: Escape from Butcher Bay and The Darkness. EA has offered no comment so far.
