Masi Oka plays the time and space bending Hiro Nakamura in the super hit TV show Heroes, well now Oka-san has had a game idea.
So awesome in premise is this game that DreamWorks have gotten the rights to produce a film and videogame simultaneously. What if you had to ”live up to the person you created”?
”You can be whoever you want to be,” said Oka-san. ”The question came to me: What if you had to live up to the person you created in the virtual world?”
THR reports the movie revolves around a group of online gamers who meet up to tackle a ‘real life’ adventure together. The Heroes star is a fan of The Goonies, which just so happens to be the type of project that DreamWork’s Alex Kurtzman and Roberto Orci wanted to work on.
They were searching for ”the kinds of movies that Amblin used to do, that combined an innocence with the adventure,” said Hollywood man Orci. ”We are staunch believers there are ways to update the tone of these movies,” added Kurtzman.
Can we look forward to an epic time at the movies, or just a load of unnecessary aggro?
