EA and DICE can pat themselves on the back, Battlefield 1943 is proving to be a huge hit with gamers. In fact its popularity is the source of server problems.
After just one day since the game was available over XBLA, the official Leaderboards have lit up with over 80,000 players. Not bad at all for a console and download-only title.
It’s also available via the PlayStation Network. The game’s launch was beset with lag problems and the number of servers has since doubled to try and cope with the sheer enthusiasm for the game from Battlefield veterans.
”Xbox 360 Capacity is on the rise and will keep rising!” twittered OfficialBF1943.
Battlefield 1943 is available on Xbox Live Arcade for 1200 Microsoft Points, and on the PlayStation Store for $14.99/£9.99/€12.99. See the official launch trailer below.
