Fatal Frame II: Crimson Butterfly Remake Mods List
The list below will be updated as more mods come out. It’s meant to highlight the ones that we consider particularly useful or interesting. As always when it comes to unofficial addons, be aware they can lead to instability, corrupted saves, and other unpredictable game behaviour.
No-HUD-No-Effects by Gametism
A simple mod that makes it easy to hide the HUD, button prompts, and other effects with hotkeys that can be reset.
Unlock Framerate (120fps) by AeonGreyh
A custom “graphics_option.json” file which unlocks the framerate to hit 120 FPS. Note this file replaces the original graphical settings one, so read the description to make sure other changes save and apply.
Vibrant ReShade by 9Elias32
Our favourite ReShade preset out of the ones we’ve seen so far. It ups the colour saturation and makes the presentation a bit sharper without sacrificing the darkness that’s key to the atmosphere in the village and its creepy interiors.
FIX Stuttering by JXST7ZRAA
A quick tweak to “allow the engine to process more shaders at the start to avoid stuttering when you first enter a new area in the game.”
FF2RFix by Lyall
“An ASI plugin for FATAL FRAME II: Crimson Butterfly REMAKE that can add custom resolutions, expand ultrawide support and more.” Check out the complete description for additional features and info on how to alter the settings. It enables the ability to skip the opening intros too.
