EA's Harvey Elliot has recently voiced his dream of reviving some classic Bullfrog IP, and the rest of the publishing giant seems to have taken notice to that.
Theme Park, Populous, Wing Commander and Road Rash have all been re-trademarked. Like a red flag to a bull, speculation is now likely to set the internet on fire; each is a cult classic.
"Electronic Arts has filed new trademark registrations for Populous, Theme Park, Wing Commander and Road Rash," reports superannuation.
Theme Park and Populous are creations of Bullfrog, more specifically from the mind of Lionhead Studios' Peter Molyneux. Road Rash is actually EA's own diabolically addictive creation that fused bike racing with pipes and flailing chains to crack over your opponents head with.
Wing Commander is a staple of sci-fi and went on to spawn a film. It was originally created by Origin Systems back in 1990, but was later bought by EA. If you had to choose, which would you rather see spark with life first?
