Someone got a little ahead of themselves as EA’s Russian website listed both Valve’s impending Left 4 Dead 2 and BioWare’s Mass Effect 2 for the PlayStation 3 - oops.
The infected sequel is certainly not going to be on PS3 anytime soon, with developer Valve bemoaning the platform. Commander Shepard however is thought to be a lot more open.
Neither title has of course been announced for the Sony platform, but Mass Effect 2 has been heavily rumoured to be making the journey. BioWare’s Dragon Age: Origins is due early next month and will hit Xbox 360 and PC first with a PS3 version a little bit later.
The same is expected for Mass Effect 2, which enjoyed an exclusive period on the Xbox 360 with the original game. It later came to PC but no PlayStation 3 edition was ever made. Are you hopeful a PS3 Mass Effect 2 is on the books over at BioWare and EA?
Valve has made no secret that they prefer the Xbox 360 and PC as their platforms of choice, regarding the PlayStation 3 as too difficult to get into.
