Having Alan Wake delayed for so long is apparently a good thing, otherwise Imagination Studios and Remedy might never have gotten together.
Thanks to their motion-capture tech, Alan Wake is looking very much alive with developer Remedy ”extremely pleased” with the process. This partnership news allays fears for the game.
Alan Wake for the most part has been shrouded in silence and a general blank wall when it comes to media assets, but this deal between Imagination Studios and the dev team has injected some much needed optimism for the games future.
Executive producer Lasse Seppänen said ”it is with great pleasure that we can recommend Imagination Studios. Remedy has been extremely pleased with their co-operation and devotion in bringing the characters of Alan Wake to life.” Game development began in 2005.
Rockstar recently announced that the new Max Payne game won’t be handled by Remedy, who has produced the franchise entries up till now, but this was seen as a good thing. It meant that Remedy was too focused on Alan Wake to be distracted with other projects.
Imagination Studios, previously known as Northern Light Studios, has worked for developers Starbreeze Studios, Massive Entertainment, IO Interactive and EA DICE in the past.
