Capcom are letting Lost Planet 2’s demo go free next week on the Xbox 360, with it available on the 19th for Gold Live subscribers, and on the 26th for Silver.
You’ll be able to take down the huge ”Salamander Akrid” boss, through online four-player co-op. The demo is to offer a mere ”brief glimpse” into the chaos that awaits in the game.
”Lost Planet 2 will offer deeper insight into the world of E.D.N III and the uncertain fate of future mankind. A decade has passed since the first game, and the face of E.D.N. III has changed dramatically,” say Capcom.
”Terraforming efforts have been successful and the ice has begun to melt, giving way to lush tropical jungles and harsh unforgiving deserts.” …and giant salamander bosses.
”The demo is a brief glimpse into the world and possibilities of Lost Planet 2, highlighting the range of weaponry available to players while showing off the high definition graphical capabilities of MT Framework 2.0, the latest version of Capcom’s proprietary 3D game engine.”
It’ll be debuting during GamesCom, where ”new assets for Lost Planet 2 will be released” too. Check out the clip below for some jungle battling in Lost Planet 2.
