Diablo 3’s Season 38 sees a different set of mechanics from the hack and slash RPG’s past returning between its start and end dates, giving us the chance to create new characters which we can use to slay demons and angels alike, all while chasing shiny, powerful loot.
While Diablo 4’s post-launch content is where Blizzard mainly spends its energy now, the third entry in the series retains a dedicated fanbase that regularly returns to it, which is why seasonal refreshes haven’t ceased.

Diablo 3 Season 38 Theme
Diablo III’s Season 38 theme, Ethereal Memory, gives us the Ethereals weapon-type that “rolls a powerful set of affixes, a random Class Weapon Legendary Power and a random Class Passive Power.” They boast unique icons, names, item types, and sounds you may recognize from Diablo II, blending mighty power with a bit of nostalgia.
Diablo 3 Season 38 Cosmetic Rewards
In terms of cosmetic rewards, we can obtain the boots and pants slots of the exclusive Conqueror Set alongside portraits themed around the enigmatic Tal Rasha and a pennant embodying the spirit of Justice.
Completing the Season Journey then adds the Rakkis’ Remembrance portrait and the Toothsome Trooper pet to our collections.
