Guerrilla Games' co-founder Hermen Hulst has said the team are unlikely to explore a co-op side to Killzone 2, there are no plans for that kind of DLC.
It would have to be "integrated" and given the same attention to detail as the singleplayer and multiplayer experience, they wouldn't want to "just tack on co-op" for the sake of it.
"We looked at all the different flavors of co-op early on, but decided our first priority would have to be the single-player experience and the multiplayer," Hulst told Game Informer.
"Rather than just tack on co-op, it would have to be integrated and done to a similar standard as the single and multiplayer."
"Having looked at it again now. I do not think we would want to add it as DLC," he added. This seems to spell the end for any co-operative future for the PS3 shooter. A new map pack is being release this April 30th for Killzone 2 confirms Sony, though its pricing is still unknown.
Are you bummed there's no co-op Helghast-blasting on the way?
