The hotly sought after MMO all about crime is finally getting ready to beta test, but first developer Realtime Worlds needs beta testers, and applications are now open.
Signing yourself up doesn’t guarantee you’re in, it just puts your name in the hat. APB is a subscription-free MMO with 100-players to each city, shooting up the place GTA-style.
”We’ll be selecting beta testers who complete the application process and meet our criteria. Selected testers will receive an invitation by email along with details of how to download the game and take part,” says the official APB site.
”If you don’t hear back from us in the next few months, don’t despair, we’ll be selecting more people right through to launch and we will need bigger numbers of testers as time goes on.”
Console ports of the game have been mentioned in the past but only the PC version is expected in ”early 2010”. Many other MMOs have had console versions talked about but none have materialised… Will you be signing up for APB beta? It’s free after all.
