Publisher Square Enix has confirmed via a press release that Star Ocean: The Last Hope International is real and is heading for the PlayStation 3, with a ‘humorous’ revelation.
According to the original Xbox 360 release, Star Ocean’s ”amazing” visuals were ”only possible” on Microsoft’s platform. Now, ”amazing graphics” are delivered ”through Blu-ray Disc.”
The feature lists from the two releases are near identical, except the Blu-ray bit of course. Aside from the expected English and Japanese voice options, the PS3 will have ”English, French, Italian, German, Spanish and Japanese” to choose from.
It seems the days of ”amazing graphics and visual effects only possible on Xbox 360” though have been usurped, as the newer Star Ocean features ”amazing graphics through Blu-ray Disc,” as spotted by Shacknews.
Star Ocean: The Last Hope International is being released on PS3 February 9th, 2010.
