Producer Kekoa Lee-Creel has come out saying they must deliver a demo for Singularity before it goes retail, the ”shooter market is saturated, it’s tough to break in”.
The rather unique gameplay elements of Singularity are best shown to the gamer, not just spoken about explained Activision. The developers are ”definitely on track” for a demo.
”The shooter market is saturated, it’s tough to break in right now when there’s a lot of great, well-established franchises,” Lee-Creel told Develop in an interview.
”We’re definitely on track to release a demo,” he said. ”That’s absolutely critical. It’s so hard to convey how a game feels, but I have confidence that once we can cross that threshold I think we’re good.”
The sci-fi shooter focuses around a device capable of altering the age of objects or persons but doesn’t mess with time itself apparently, though some time travel looks involved. The game is in development at Raven Software, see the teaser trailer below.
Singularity is being released on Xbox 360, PS3 and PC this year.
