Robert Bowling is community man of developer Infinity Ward, he's also the messenger nearly blind folded and shot for delivering news that there's no dedicated server for PC.
Since that hydrogen bomb was dropped, PC gamers have already got a petition armed with nearly 100,000 signatures, which started up yesterday. It's "made a big wave" at Infinity HQ.
"Definitely made a big wave, and the response will not be ignored. I'll ensure everyone at IW sees the petitions and responses to it," twittered Bowling.
Developer Infinity revealed that dedicated server support in PC Modern Warfare 2 was ditched in favour of their new IWNet match hosting service. This means game mods are likely to be left out in the cold, with Bowling unable to discuss if they'd be okay.
The 'Dedicated Servers for CoD:MW2' petition is going strong having started only yesterday.
Are you outraged they've ditched dedicated servers? Maybe you've already inked your support to the online cause? DICE has come out in support of PC gamers recently.
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 is being released on Xbox 360, PS3 and PC November 10th.
