Project Gotham Racing developer Bizarre Creations is behind Activision’s upcoming racer Blur, blending high octane cars with Mario Kart style antics and shenanigans.
The studio wanted to ”move beyond traditional racers” and bring back some mayhem. It has 20-player online races with 4-player split-screen offline. It’s for Xbox 360, PS3 and PC.
”We did our homework and saw a huge opportunity to move beyond traditional racers and create a game completely focused on making racing ‘fun’ again,” said Bizarre’s Martyn Chudley.
”Blur delivers a new style of racing experience for all gamers, regardless of their experience, skill or genre preferences. Everything the player does, both in their cars and with their cars, is a dramatic adrenaline rush; it’s a real blast!”
Blur has been confirmed by Activision to be hitting shops in North America this November 6th, which is what a lot of online retailers already pegged it for. It’s customisable so players can really gun for Mario Kart battles as they race, or go for something more realistic.
