BioWare says it affects only a ”small portion” of SDTVs, but they can’t resolve the problem through an update. They’ll try to avoid it next time.
”We understand that on some Standard Definition TVs the smallest text in Mass Effect 2 can be difficult to read. While this was not an intentional result, it was a byproduct of enhancements to the user interface,” posted BioWare, reports Eurogamer.
”After investigating potential solutions, we have determined that while this issue does affect a small portion of SDTV owners, we are unable to resolve it for Mass Effect 2 through a title update.” Perhaps it’s time to pick up a cheap HDTV?
”However, we have taken note of this issue and will take it into consideration as we plan future games in the Mass Effect franchise.” Other games have suffered this problem too in the past, like Capcom’s Dead Rising and Rare’s Banjo-Kazooie: Nuts & Bolts.
However the guys at Rare did manage to put out a text patch, but BioWare say they can’t for Mass Effect 2. Do you still game on a SDTV?
