Gamers have been experiencing trouble logging in with their accounts, loading server lists and trying to stay connected within a match. All three versions have been affected by the massive demand for online play, mostly for the PC.
”All teams are actively engaged in diagnosis and remediation. We are adding additional services to alleviate load. Despite having a major infrastructure in place, the peak traffic this weekend has been huge, 400% higher than any other Battlefield’s peak simultaneous users,” blogged Gordon Van Dyke of DICE, reports IncGamers.
”The teams will continue to monitor the services closely. We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience and will provide further updates on the latest developments as they are relevant.”
While Battlefield: Bad Company 2 does well on both consoles, it pales in comparison to the stellar numbers of PC copies bought - a direct opposite of Infinity Ward’s Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 which has a small PC following.
