In fact you got 1.5GB of nothing but 0’s with not a 1 in sight. The installer for the PC DLC got packaged wrong, but BioWare has fixed it all now.
PC users already had to wait a bit longer than their Xbox 360 counterparts to get hold of the biggest DLC to date from studio BioWare, but found the installer errored moaning about 64-bit OS. It was discovered that the entire file was actually fully of zeros.
Naturally the BioWare forums got a little heated as fans vented their displeasure at such a monumental oversight as to upload a 1.5GB file of nothing, but the team got cracking on the problem and all is well now.
”Lair of the Shadowbroker should now be fixed for the PC and should be able to be downloaded now for both the PC and Xbox 360,” said BioWare’s Chris Priestly. ”Thanks to everyone for their patience and help as we fixed this issue.”
Liara T’soni returns in Lair of the Shadow Broker, she’s a former ME squad member who is now hell bent on finding the shadowy information broker that kidnapped her friend - oh and tried to sell Shepard’s body to the Collectors - so it’s a little personal.
Lair of the Shadow Broker costs 800 MSP or BioWare points and is out now. Team BioWare recently revealed some Mass Effect 2 statistics, helping them make ME3.
