The Crysis dev says it’s ”important to be part” of the UK videogames scene, and help out TIGA ”make the UK the best place” for the industry.
You may remember when Free Radical was about to go belly up, but then Crytek swooped in to save the studio. Sadly a casualty was named - a LucasArts’ Battlefront project that had fans wetting their lower garments with excitement and possibility.
”We are joining TIGA because we feel it is important to be part of the UK community and support TIGA in its mission to make the UK the best place in the world to do games business,” said Karl Hilton, managing director of Crytek UK, reports VG247.
”Crytek UK is a significant and very welcome addition to the UK development community and to TIGA,” chipped in TIGA boss Richard Wilson. Crytek are the developers behind the original Far Cry and the more recent franchise of Crysis.
Crysis 2 releases for Xbox 360, PS3 and PC later this year. A debut trailer for Crysis 2 was aired in New York’s Time Square, which you can check out below.
