The BioShock creators are busy with a new original game that ”could become another franchise.” This conflicts with a slip from a devs CV.
”BioShock creator Ken Levine, who was freed from working on the sequel in order to produce an original title that could become another franchise,” wrote the L.A. Times, reports CVG. Levine is ”probably the world’s biggest” X-Com fan, he claims.
2K Australia’s Shamus Baker last year had ”X-Com (Xbox 360, PC Game)” on their CV. If it’s an original game then it’s unlikely to be tied with the X-Com IP, unless it’s a spin-off project hugely distanced from the space strategy series.
