The Diffusion Group’s survey puts the PlayStation 3 with the most amount of users with a broadband-connection console at 78 percent. Xbox 360 gamers follow with 73 percent and Wii users trail with 54 percent.
Michael Greeson, Director of Research for the group, believes that such high levels of connectivity were down to a demand for media video rather than gaming itself.
”Today’s game consoles are increasingly connected to the internet, not just to enhance their gaming experience but to access the growing variety of online media-video,” he said.
The Playstation 3 arguably has the most online multi-media features out of the three consoles.
