The film should be released in Japan in 2012 and will feature 3D too. Leon S. Kennedy will be the main character again, much like Degeneration. That’s all we know at the moment, but hopefully we’ll have more soon.
Resident Evil: Degeneration has shipped more than 1.6 million DVDs around the world, and was released in the UK on January 2009 on both Blu-ray and DVD. The film made over JPY 40 million (£311,183) at Japan’s Box Office.
Paul W.S. Anderson’s 4th feature length Resident Evil film, Resident Evil: Afterlife, is currently out at cinema’s across the globe, and a 5th film is definitely going to happen according to lead actress Milla Jovovich (Alice).
“So we’re definitely going to make another one,” said Jovovich in an interview with Venture. ”We’ve been talking to a lot of fans on Twitter and stuff, so it’s probably going to be one of the first movies where we really talk to fans to see what they want, and what characters they want to see. It’s going to be a more interactive process.”
