Retailer GameStop say MOH will be ”one of the biggest” launches this year, underscoring just how ”emerged as mainstream” videogames are.
The reboot for the Medal of Honor series went on sale this Tuesday for Xbox 360, PS3 and PC in the US to which first day sales put a smile on EA’s face, adding that it’s “well in position for an outstanding holiday.” Reception of MOH has been mixed.
“We anticipate Medal of Honor to be one of the biggest video game titles launched this year,” said GameStop’s Bob McKenzie, Merchandising SVP. ”This underscores how video gaming has emerged as mainstream entertainment.”
Medal of Honor releases on Xbox 360, PS3 and PC tomorrow in Europe. The mixed reviews of the game have tumbled EA shares a dollar or two.
