The free downloadable titles will also support 3D, which includes WipEout HD. The PS3 gets 3D enabled firmware before the Bravias retail.
WipEout HD is the full game but doesn’t include the Fury add-on. MotorStorm: Pacific Rift is another but not the full game - it’s a single-level 3D demo. PAIN is the third offering three levels and the tutorial. Super Stardust HD is the last bonus and fully retail.
The new HX803 series of Bravia TVs support 1080p HD 3D and sport 3D Up Conversion which attempts to ‘boost’ 2D into 3D where possible. Sony’s 3D tech uses active shutter glasses which open and close shutters so your eyes see alternate images, which creates the 3D experience. The glasses have a battery life of ”approximately 100 hours”.
Is 3D TV a turn on (no pun intended) for you?
