June 25th will see the Black Phantom Edition hit retailers but there'll be limited stock. The RPG is only sold in Japan and North America.
"We’re very pleased to be working with SCEI to bring the fantastic Demon’s Souls to gamers outside of Japan and North America,” said Olivier Comte of NAMCO BANDAI Partners S.A.S., in the official press release, reports VG247.
“The game is exactly the kind of quality experience with which we are continuing to grow the NAMCO BANDAI Games portfolio of titles, and we will be working hard to ensure it’s at least as much of a success in our markets as it has already proven to be elsewhere.”
Demon's Souls is a hardcore RPG for the PS3 that many have sought after. Fans were crushed to hear that no one seemed interested in bringing it to Europe. It carries some revolutionary mechanics like leaving notes for other players to pickup and read.
You can help out others in their singleplayer game too with some co-op to take on a huge boss or to challenge them to some PVP. You bloodstains can actually be replayed by others to witness your demise for themselves and perhaps avoid the mistake.
A sequel to Demon's Souls has already been given a huge wink and nod for this fall in Japan, though us poor Europeans will likely have to wait quite a while for it.
