It seems Ubisoft aren’t willing to back down over their DRM strategy.
Speaking to VG247, Splinter Cell: Conviction creative director Max Béland, commented how DRM was ”vital” for their PC business.
“We consider that protecting our PC games is vital to our business,” said Béland, “and will allow us to continue investing in the development of creative and innovative games on the PC platform.”
Ubisoft’s current DRM has been the centre of a lot of controversy recently, as it requires a user to be connected to the internet at all times whilst playing.
