Shortages of PlayStation 3 consoles in the US aren’t favourable to the launch of Sony Santa Monica’s God of War III, which released yesterday.
Sony boss Jack Tretton ”won’t kid” us and admits it’s an issue. He believes they’ll be back in stock shortly with Kratos selling ”for a long time.”
The corporate giant has already moved up the release date in India to avoid a mass import of the game. The PlayStation 3 well has run dry with many leading US retailers like Best Buy, GameStop, Target and Amazon.com.
“It’s not ideal, I won’t kid you. But I firmly believe we’ll get our hardware back in stock and keep selling God of War III for a long time,” reassured Sony US boss Tretton. God of War III releases exclusively on PS3 this Friday in the UK, March 19th. Will you get a copy?
