Media Molecule, creator of the Sackboy and Sackgirl populace, admit they ”might not succeed” in getting all fan made levels into the sequel.
The issue surrounds ”all the exploits” users have slipped into their designs. This throws a big royal spanner in the cogs of backward compatibility.
”We may not get 100 percent backwards compatibility,” Alex Evans of Media Molecule told Edge in an interview, reports Gamerzines, “but I hope we do.”
“It’s a really hard job to QA it, with millions of levels to get through. We might not succeed in all the exploits people have used.” LittleBigPlanet 2 was announced last week with release expected this year exclusively on PlayStation 3.
Around 2 million user created levels will be approximately compatible with the sequel, or at least that’s what the teasing trailer suggests which you can check out below.
