New Twisted Metal has been in development "about 18 months"

Eat, Sleep, Play’s David Jaffe reveals that the brand new Twisted Metal, which unveiled at E3 2010, has had about a year and a half with devs.

Jaffe has long kept silent on a new game in the series, always dismissing talk of it. It will exclusively blow up PlayStation 3 in 2011 sometime.

”How long’s this TM roughly been in development for?JAFFE: Oh I’d say about 18 months,” twittered Jaffe, that loveable maverick over at Sony’s Eat, Sleep, Play. It was announced during the Sony E3 conference with a most teasing trailer to boot.
