Producer Hiromichi Tanaka of Final Fantasy XIV Online confirms it won’t be heading for Xbox 360, although talks are ongoing with Microsoft.
The team are ”only working” on PS3 and PC versions. FFXIV is still releasing this year, at least ”that is the plan,” Tanaka-san said. It was at E3.
”Currently there are no plans for a version for the Xbox 360,” confirmed Tanaka-san to RPG Site in an interview on Final Fantasy XIV Online. It should come as little surprise given than Microsoft has yet to get their act together regarding MMO and Xbox Live.
”We are still talking with Microsoft about an Xbox 360 version, but at the moment we are only working on the PS3 version and Windows version.” It’s due for release in 2010 and that was reaffirmed. ”Yes, that is the plan,” said the producer.
