The sequel the popular Arkham Asylum game could get pushed back until early 2011, although it doesn’t have a concrete release date yet.
A close source speaking to CVG commented that they had been told that Warner wanted to avoid the pre-Christmas market.
”It wants to dominate the first quarter of 2011 instead, when it can get maximum retail space and mindshare amongst gamers.”
The first game was published by Eidos-that-is-now-Square, but since then Warner Bros has actually bought a stake in the studio, Rocksteady, and so they will be publishing the sequel.
When asked, a Warner’s PR rep simply said; ”We haven’t announced a release date for the sequel to Batman: Arkham Asylum yet.”
We’ll probably find out more at E3.
