Depending on certain outstanding legal squabbles with Bethesda, the MMO project could get the Fallout name attached to it, possibly.
”Masthead’s technology is impressive and perfect for our Project: V13. Its team is passionate to bring our vision and game play to the market,” said Interplay’s Herve Caen, reports VideoGamer.com. Project: V13 has been in development since November, 2007.
Some of the original Fallout creators are working on the title, which was taken over by Masthead Studios in early last year and is now using their proprietary MMO tech, which can be found in their own sci-fi MMO game project, Earthrise.
”This MMOG will have many unique features that we will disclose before launch of the public Beta in 2012,” added CEO Caen. Bethesda has been kicking up big time over Interplay and their continued connection with Fallout, but it’s tapered off some recently.
