Sega and Creative Assembly from here on out will be putting Total War first, literally, as it helps identify the games "as one series", starting with Shogun 2.
"The Total War series of games spans over 10 years of titles,” said a spokesperson. “We wanted to identify all of these as one series using a more obvious naming convention for players." No more booting the Total War name to the end of the marquee.
"Revealing the new title with the Shogun 2 box art was the opportune time to do so.” Well, does this sudden change of naming dynamic enrage you? Does it make you want to roam the lands conquering your lessers? If so then give Total War: Shogun 2 a look.
It's releasing exclusively on PC next year on March 15th.
