According to reader of Japanese mag Famitsu, Toshihiro Nagoshi is now working on a sci-fi shooter along with his Yakuza team and one overseas.
Nagoshi-san created the Yakuza and Super Monkey Ball series. His new project is allegedly set in Tokyo in 2080, with focus on AI and multiplayer.
The particular issue of Famitsu with this information has yet to be pillaged by the Internet so none of this can be corroborated for the time being. This poster also says the magazine reveals the development team are still disagreeing over the time setting.
A high level of AI and online play is the focus for the team, although it’s not clear if this is a third or first-person shooter. Publisher Sega is gunning for a worldwide release.
