Some of the stuff you can find in resumes are fascinating. In THQ Core Games creative manager Scott Rogers’ resume, a game called Saints Row: Drive-By can be found. It was supposed to be released this year at some point for PlayStation Network and Xbox Live Arcade.
The resume doesn’t list when the game was canceled, so the reasons for its cancellation remain unknown. Volition’s layoffs could be a major factor in the axing. Of course, “Drive-By” makes it sound suspiciously like a game that would have been similar to the digitally released Red Faction: Battlegrounds (also released by Volition), so maybe it’s for the best that it didn’t see the light of day.
THQ had said back in GDC that the company was intent on releasing up to six downloadable games. So far, only the aforementioned Red Faction: Battlegrounds was released.
