He’s unsure if PlayStation Move or Kinect offer the ”ultimate answer.” Cage is confident ”something will happen” and soon from the platform holders.
”That was a very interesting experience,” said Quantic boss David Cage, referring to the re-release of Heavy Rain with full PlayStation Move support.
”We learned a lot doing it. We need some time to think about it and see how we can create even more exciting experiences. Maybe there will be more devices in the near future in the same direction but which work slightly differently that will open new ground.”
”I can clearly see how DualShock is the end of an era and we need to move to something else as an industry. I don’t know if Kinect or Move are the ultimate answer.”
”It’s up to console manufacturers to bring a new device. But something will happen, hopefully soon,” said Cage. This year’s E3 is a buzz with Nintendo that they’ll be unveiling a successor to the much loved Nintendo Wii console which introduced motion back in ‘06.
