The race for developing software on PCs for Kinect 2 is on as Microsoft has begun sending out waves of 'Kinect for Windows v2 Developer Preview' kits for teams to start poking around in.

Activision made a long presentation of Call of Duty: Ghosts at Microsoft's Xbox One reveal. Not only did the publisher show off the story trailer, but went on about the game's technical prowess. Now, Activision boss Eric Hirshberg has revealed how the game will take advantage of Kinect 2.0.
Microsoft has announced that Kinect 2.0, which is bundled with Xbox One, will be also be available for PC users. Kinect program manager Scott Evans stated, "We will bring this to PC. We will have more information soon."

Corporate giant Microsoft's mad scientists are at it again. A Microsoft Research team in Cambridge, UK is working on a project known as Digits which is gesture-sensing as it monitors fingers (digits).
LEDs are mounted on a plastic wrist strap which face the palm and use infrared light to accurately model the user's fingers, and thereby track their movement to discern what gestures they're making.
